Catalan is spoken by 6.5 million people in Spain, Andorra, southern France and parts of Italy. Catalan is used in politics, education and the media.

Fun, interesting and effective
I moved to Barcelona, Spain without speaking any Spanish. I discovered to be part of the "in crowd" you need to speak Catalan.
After buying a basic book and discovering that I was unable to learn due to the lack of interest, I chose TeachMe! Catalan as I liked the way it broke the learning down into Gramar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation.
