Guaraní is spoken by 7 million people in Paraguay and some parts of Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia. In Paraguay, where it is an official language, it is spoken by 88% of the population. Guaraní belongs to the Tupian language family.

Next best thing to a teacher
I have found TeachMe! Welsh very useful for improving my understanding of the language. I have been learning on and off for a couple of years now using TeachMe! in conjunction with other teaching aids - books and tapes, internet, other CD ROMs. TeachMe! is the best I've used so far.
It's good in that it covers all the basic aspects of the language - vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. It approaches learning in a steady, systematic approach, with feedback on how you are doing and cleverly picks up...
