In a typical sentence in Slovenian which uses the verb to be, the verb is placed between the subject and the atrribute as in English. In the singular, the verb to be is je. In the plural, the verb to be is so.

  • Deklica je majhna.
    The girl is small.
  • Konj je velik.
    The horse is big.
  • Deček je velik.
