Tajik verbs are conjugated for each person. The conjugation consists of an ending placed on the verb stem. For the second person singular, Tajik verbs typically use the ending '-i'. Important to note is that pronouns are not used with the verb in Tajik except to create emphasis. This means that, unlike English, the verb is in general used without a pronoun.
Tajik is a variant of the Persian language which is spoken in Central Asia. It is spoken by about 4.4 million people mainly in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Between 1928 to 1940, tajik was written with the Latin alphabet, then with a modified version of the Cyrillic alphabet thereafter.
