Burmese personal pronouns : I

A personal pronoun is what we call the English words 'I', 'you', 'he', 'she', 'we' and 'they'. Just like English, Burmese has a set of personal pronouns. The English word 'I' is a pronoun in the first person singular. The Burmese word for 'I' is 'jenók'.

Adjectives are used to describe nouns. To get started, we suggest you learn the three Burmese adjectives jī, sē and úwi (big, small, old). Using the nouns sāok, kalatiŋ and tanķā (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each adjective with each noun (the big book, the old chair, the small door). After you've learned to use the adjectives jī, sē and úwi with the nouns sāok, kalatiŋ and tanķā you can move on to Step 8 (Burmese Verbs).
