Simple Chinese sentences

In the present tense, where an English sentence would use the verb to be, a typical sentence in Chinese does not use a verb at all. Just the subject and the attribute are used without a verb.

Examples of simple Chinese sentences

Nánhái qiángzhuàng.
The boy is strong.
Nánhái dà.
The boys are big.
Nŭhái xiăo.
The girls are small.
Nánrén lăo.
The man is old.
Fángzi xīn.
The house is new.
