Croatian adjectives

Adjectives are generally used to describe nouns. Adjectives come before the noun in Croatian as in English. Adjectives in Croatian agree with the noun they describe. This means that adjectives that describe a feminine noun have a special form.

Step 7 : Adjectives in Croatian

Adjectives are used to describe nouns. To get started, we suggest you learn the three Croatian adjectives velik, mali and star (big, small, old). Using the nouns knjiga, stolica and vrata (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each adjective with each noun (the big book, the old chair, the small door). After you've learned to use the adjectives velik, mali and star with the nouns knjiga, stolica and vrata you can move on to Step 8 (Croatian Verbs).
