Verbs are used to describe actions. Estonian verbs are conjugated for each person. The conjugation consists of an ending placed on the verb stem. For the first person singular, Estonian verbs typically use the ending '-n'.

Step 8 : Estonian verbs

Verbs are used to describe actions. There are 1000's of verbs that you can learn in Estonian. A good approach would be to start out by learning just three Estonian verbs by heart. We suggest you learn the Estonian verbs nägema, tahtma and meeldima (see, want, like). Using the nouns raamat, tool and uks (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each verb with each noun (I want the book, you see the chair, they like the door etc.). After you've learned using the three verbs nägema, tahtma and meeldima by heart you can move on to Step 9 (Estonian possessive pronouns).
