German personal pronouns : I

A personal pronoun is what we call the English words 'I', 'you', 'he', 'she', 'we' and 'they'. Just like English, German has a set of personal pronouns. The German word for 'I' is 'ich'. The word 'ich' is generally used as the subject of a verb ('I go', 'I see', 'I work' etc.). The German words for 'me' in general are 'mich' and 'mir'.
