Simple Irish sentences

In a typical sentence in Irish which uses the verb to be, the verb is placed at the beginning of the sentence. If the attribute is an adjective the verb form is used. If the attribute is a noun the verb form is is used.

Examples of simple Irish sentences

Tá na cailíní go deas.
The girls are pretty.
Tá an buachaill mór.
The boy is big.
Tá an capall mór.
The horse is big.
Tá na buachallí beag.
The boys are small.
Tá na fuinneoga mór.
The windows are big.
