Possessive pronouns are used in Italian to describe possession or ownership. Just like English, Italian has a set of possessive pronouns. The Italian words for 'my' are 'mio' and 'mia'. The word 'mio' is used with masculine nouns and the word 'mia' is used with feminine nouns.
