Manx adjectives

Adjectives are generally used to describe nouns. Unlike English, adjectives in Manx are placed after the noun. Adjectives in Manx agree with the noun they describe. This means that adjectives that describe a feminine noun have a special form.

Adjectives are used to describe nouns. To get started, we suggest you learn the three Manx adjectives mooar, beg and shenn (big, small, old). Using the nouns lioar, caair and dorrys (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each adjective with each noun (the big book, the old chair, the small door). After you've learned to use the adjectives mooar, beg and shenn with the nouns lioar, caair and dorrys you can move on to Step 8 (Manx Verbs).
