Verbs are used to describe actions. A unique feature of Punjabi is that it conjugates differently for males and females. Verbs in Punjabi can use the verb 'to be' as an auxiliary verb. For the first person singular, most Punjabi verbs use the ending '-da' with males and the ending '-di' with females.
