Simple Georgian sentences

In a typical sentence in Georgian which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed between the subject and the attribute as in English. In the singular, the verb 'to be' is 'aris'. In the plural, the verb 'to be' is 'arian'.

Examples

Tsqenebi pațarebi arian.

The horses are small.

Tsqenebi dzvelebi arian.

The horses are old.

Tsqenebi šavebi arian.

The horses are black.

Tsqenebi didebi arian.

The horses are big.

Tsqenebi tetrebi arian.

The horses are white.
