Simple Greek sentences

In a typical sentence in Greek which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed between the subject and the attribute as in English. The verb 'to be' is 'είναι' in both the singular and the plural.

Examples

I ándres íne néi.
The men are young.
I ándres íne yéri.
The men are old.
I ándres íne megáli.
The men are big.
