Simple Hungarian sentences

In the present tense, where an English sentence would use the verb 'to be', a typical sentence in Hungarian does not use a verb at all. Just the subject and the attribute are used without a verb.

Examples

A lány csinos.

The girl is pretty.

A lány okos.

The girl is smart.

A lány kicsi.

The girl is small.

A lány erős.

The girl is strong.

A lány nagy.

The girl is big.
