Simple Irish sentences

In a typical sentence in Irish which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed at the beginning of the sentence. If the attribute is an adjective the verb form '' is used. If the attribute is a noun the verb form 'is' is used.

Tá na fir sean.
The men are old.
Tá na fir óg.
The men are young.
Tá na fir mór.
The men are big.
