Simple Kazakh sentences

In the present tense, where an English sentence would use the verb 'to be', a typical sentence in Kazakh does not use a verb at all. Just the subject and the attribute are used without a verb.

Examples

Jylqy kiškentai.

The horse is small.

Jylqy kari.

The horse is old.

Jylqy aq.

The horse is white.

Jylqy ülken.

The horse is big.
