Simple Manx sentences

In a typical sentence in Manx which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed at the beginning of the sentence. If the attribute is an adjective the verb form 'ta' is used. If the attribute is a noun the verb form 'shee|shi' is used.

Examples

Ta'n dooinney shenn.

The man is old.

Ta'n dooinney lajer.

The man is strong.

Ta'n dooinney mooar.

The man is big.
