Simple Mongolian sentences

In a typical sentence in Mongolian which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed between the subject and the attribute as in English. The verb 'to be' is 'ban' in both the singular and the plural.

Examples

Emegtēčüd üzesgelhentē yom.

The women are beautiful.

Emegtēčüd gunigtayi yom.

The women are sad.

Emegtēčüd zalhū yom.

The women are young.

Emegtēčüd az jargalhtayi yom.

The women are happy.

Emegtēčüd qögšin yom.

The women are old.
