Simple Persian sentences

In a typical sentence in Persian which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed at the end of the sentence. In the singular, the verb 'to be' is 'hast'. In the plural, the verb 'to be' is 'hastant'.

Qānēhā bozorg hastand.
The houses are big.
Qānēhā pir hastand.
The houses are old.
Qānēhā kuček hastand.
The houses are small.
