Simple Punjabi sentences

In a typical sentence in Punjabi which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed at the end of the sentence. In the singular, the verb 'to be' is 'hei'. In the plural, the verb 'to be' is 'hêi'.

Examples

kōrā čotta hē.

The horse is small.

kōrā buda hē.

The horse is old.

kōrā čitta hē.

The horse is white.

kōrā kala hē.

The horse is black.

kōrā vadā hē.

The horse is big.
