Simple Russian sentences

In the present tense, where an English sentence would use the verb 'to be', a typical sentence in Russian does not use a verb at all. Just the subject and the attribute are used without a verb.

Examples

Lóšadz čórnaya.
The horse is black.
Lóšadz máleŋkaya.
The horse is small.
Lóšadz balšáya.
The horse is big.
Lóšadz stáraya.
The horse is old.
Lóšadz biélaya.
The horse is white.
