Simple Slovak sentences

In a typical sentence in Slovak which uses the verb 'to be', the verb is placed between the subject and the attribute as in English. In the singular, the verb 'to be' is 'je'. In the plural, the verb 'to be' is 'jsou'.

Dievča je veľké.
The girl is big.
Dievča je šikovné.
The girl is smart.
Dievča je malé.
The girl is small.
Dievča je silné.
