Simple Thai sentences

In the present tense, where an English sentence would use the verb 'to be', a typical sentence in Thai does not use a verb at all. Just the subject and the attribute are used without a verb.

Gaoī peŋ.
The chair is expensive.
Gaoī gào.
The chair is old.
Gaoī lék.
The chair is small.
Gaoī mài.
The chair is new.
