Verbs are used to describe actions. Spanish verbs are conjugated for each person. For the first person singular, verbs in Spanish typically use the ending '-o', '-zco' or '-ngo'.

Step 8 : Spanish verbs

Verbs are used to describe actions. There are 1000's of verbs that you can learn in Spanish. A good approach would be to start out by learning just three Spanish verbs by heart. We suggest you learn the Spanish verbs ver, querer and gustar (see, want, like). Using the nouns libro, silla and puerta (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each verb with each noun (I want the book, you see the chair, they like the door etc.). You can scroll to the top of this page to see a short lesson about Spanish verbs including useful examples. After you've learned using the three verbs ver, querer and gustar by heart you can move on to Step 9 (Spanish possessive pronouns).
