Adjectives come before the noun in Dutch as in English. Adjectives agree with the noun they describe only if the noun is indefinite (i.e. 'a big house' versus 'the big house'). Adjectives that describe a definite noun are invariable (i.e. same form for masculine, feminine and neuter nouns).
