Verbs are used to describe actions. Tajik verbs are conjugated for each person. The conjugation consists of an ending placed on the verb stem. For the second person plural, Tajik verbs typically use the ending '-id'. Important to note is that pronouns are not used with the verb in Tajik except to create emphasis. This means that, unlike English, the verb is in general used without a pronoun.
Between 1928 to 1940, Tajik was written with the Latin alphabet, then with a modified version of the Cyrillic alphabet thereafter. Tajik is considered by many to be a very pleasant language to listen to. The 'Listen and Learn' MP3 audio course is a fast way to learn Tajik.
