Turk­men verb conjugation: I

Verbs are used to describe actions. Turkmen verbs are conjugated for each person. For the first person singular, verbs in Turkmen typically use the ending '-in' or the ending '-yn'.

Verbs are used to describe actions. There are 1000's of verbs that you can learn in Turkmen. A good approach would be to start out by learning just three Turkmen verbs by heart. We suggest you learn the Turkmen verbs görmek, islemek and halamak (see, want, like). Using the nouns kitap, oturgyç and gapy (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each verb with each noun (I want the book, you see the chair, they like the door etc.). You can scroll to the top of this page to see a short lesson about Turkmen verbs including useful examples. After you've learned using the three verbs görmek, islemek and halamak by heart you can move on to Step 9 (Turkmen possessive pronouns).
