Welsh adjectives

Adjectives are generally used to describe nouns. Unlike English, adjectives in Welsh are placed after the noun. Adjectives in Welsh agree with the noun they describe. This means that adjectives that describe a feminine noun have a special form.

Step 7 : Adjectives in Welsh

Adjectives are used to describe nouns. To get started, we suggest you learn the three Welsh adjectives mawr, bach and hen (big, small, old). Using the nouns llyfr, cadair and drws (book, chair, door) which you learned in Step 3, learn to use each adjective with each noun (the big book, the old chair, the small door). After you've learned to use the adjectives mawr, bach and hen with the nouns llyfr, cadair and drws you can move on to Step 8 (Welsh Verbs).
