You can learn Urdu in just 9 easy steps.

You can go from beginner to fluent in Urdu in a short time and our nine-step Urdu learning guide will show you how. We'll be talking about Urdu greetings, nouns, adjectives and verbs. The guide provides an overview of each step in the progression of skills needed to learn to speak, read and understand Urdu.

Urdu learning guide : Step 1

There are dozens of greetings that you can learn in Urdu. Imagine, however, just how much effort it would take to learn them all. And learning all of them would also take a lot of time. It would be far better to focus on just three Urdu greetings to get started. For example, learn Assalam o alēkum, Quda hafiz and Pir milenge (hello, good-bye, see you later). Learn these three Urdu greetings Assalam o alēkum, Quda hafiz and Pir milenge by heart, learn to say them properly and then move on to Step 2 (Urdu pronouns).
