You want to learn Welsh but don't have the time or motivation for evening classes? This is the course for you! Highly effective software combined with an Audio CD and a book enable you to learn Welsh quickly and easily. Within 2 months a typical user could acquire enough language skills to participate in conversation and read simple books in Welsh. The course includes both northern Welsh and southern Welsh.
After trying several \learning\" packages I stumbled across \"TeachMe!\" about a year ago. The initial attraction was that the course was PC based and offered many features that other learning packages could not match e.g. spoken words and phrases, on screen help and explanations. Having the language spoken to you is a great advantage.

I have had a lot of fun doing the exercises and watching my progress.
As each level is only 3 to 4 exercises and then you can moinitor your
progress it speeds you on to get better.
Now after more than a year, I am going to see what I can do in Wales where I will attend to a Welsh course in Abergavenny for a few days.
I have reached 440 in vocabulary (amount of words) and 46% (74%+18%) in grammar.
That's all folks - Hwyl fawr!

I have found TeachMe! Welsh very useful for improving my understanding of the language. I have been learning on and off for a couple of years now using TeachMe! in conjunction with other teaching aids - books and tapes, internet, other CD ROMs. TeachMe! is the best I've used so far.
It's good in that it covers all the basic aspects of the language - vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. It approaches learning in a steady, systematic approach, with feedback on how you are doing and cleverly picks up on your weak vocabulary and revises previous lessons to help cement things in your memory.
Being able to practice your pronunciation with a microphone is great and the audio CD means I can listen to Welsh on the way to work. Next best thing to a teacher in my opinion!
